Best TV Series on Netflix
Netflix has been quick to cash on the TV series market by buying evergreen shows as well as creating their own Netflix Originals. Apparently, they understand their audience well and there’s a reason people are hooked on to Netflix more often. The best TV series’ on Netflix in our opinion are as follows:
1] Breaking Bad
Breaking Bad is an evergreen show on Netflix. Its charm hasn’t reduced with time and rather even though the brand has launched its sequels and prequels, the original series is a rage. Breaking Bad is a story about a hyper-qualified chemist named Walter White who is working as a chemistry teacher in a school while managing his humble family life. It all changes as he is diagnosed with cancer and understands that he has little to lose. Walter lets his ambitions loose and what follows is a series of thrills.
2] Narcos
Narcos is a story based on the life of Pablo Escobar. Escobar was the richest drug lord of his time with a wealth running into billions. He was always on the DEA’s target and people in the States knew of him as a brutal, evil, inhuman monster. Narcos presents the other side of the story which includes the drug lord’s personal lie and family relations.
3] Friends
Friends is perhaps one evergreen show every person should watch before dying. Trust me, your life is incomplete till you watch Friends. This show is full of comedy and every other scene is full of happiness. It all starts when Rachael runs from her wedding and meets the “friends” at a coffee shop. Recently divorced Ross has a crush on Rachael. What follows is loads on humor as the friends diminish their sorrows by sharing.
4] Kingdom
Kingdom is a beautiful historical series with its plot set in the erstwhile kingdom of Josean which was spread over the Korean peninsula and parts of China. The king of this kingdom is about to die with no direct heir in place. The queen is pregnant, though a mystery surrounds the child. Another of his sons Lee Chang becomes the target of the queen’s family as he is a rival to the throne. Will Chang become the king, or does the kingdom deserve a different fate?
5] The Last Kingdom
In the year 872AD, the country we call the United Kingdom today has a very different geography and demography. This was when King Alfred of the Saxons had to defend England from the Viking invaders who were trying to capture as much ground as possible over the territory. Uhtred who was born as a Saxon noble and raised by the Vikings has to choose between birth and upbringing. What will he do and who will win?
6] The Witcher
The Witcher is an excellent fictional series about monsters, witches, and magic. Geralt of Rivia is a professional monster hunter, something that is considered a noble profession in his world. But as he gets to shift to the human continent, Rivia finds that many humans are worse than the monster he once hunted. As he meets a young princess and a sorceress, the three form a team. What will happen next?
7] Ozark
Ozark has a case similar to that of Breaking Bad, but trust me, it is nowhere near that legend. Marty Byrde, top financial adviser and money launderer for the second-largest Mexican cartel. However, as things go bad and his and his family’s safety is at stake, Marty decides to shift along with his children Charlotte and Jonah to Missouri.
8] Better Call Saul
Better Call Saul is a prequel to the legendary series Breaking Bad. Much before becoming Saul Goodman, Jimmy McGill was a not-so-successful lawyer who was living together with his elder brother Chuck McGill. While Chuck was fairly successful in his career, he left and started staying in a house sans electricity or any magnetic device since he believed he had a condition in which electromagnetic waves made him ill.
9] Money Heist
The Money Heist series became a rage across continents particularly because of its quick and thrilling plot. The Spanish series has been translated into various languages. The story is of a professor who plans to loot the Royal Mint of Spain and the Central Bank of Spain. While this task is nearly impossible, the professor has done his homework right. He prepares the best in the business to conduct the money heist.
10] Stranger Things
Stranger Things is a family thriller in which a young boy Will Byers gets lost. His young friends start with their own search with Mike leading the operation. All equipped with radio phones, bikes, and a never-pasting spirit, the kids don’t know that what they are looking for isn’t exactly human.
